I know it has been awhile since I last posted, but life’s hit me hard with a busy schedule and a NEW COMPUTER! 🙂 It may take some time for me to post regularly, getting pictures on my computer and what-not. It’s not that I don’t have things to post about; I’m too busy sewing and quilting. 😀 (Also, the weather’s quite nice).
Anyway…. I thought that this was interesting: Old chalk! Yes, back when I was working on the Greatest Hunter quilt in January, I was forced to mark with whatever I could find in my sewing room, which happened to be this ancient Dritz Tailors’ Chalk.
Can you guess how old it is? Here’s a hint: When the ceiling price was only 10 cents..!
It still marks quite well. I’m not sure that I would want to use the red and blue chalk, however; I’m afraid that the marks won’t come out.
If you haven’t guessed it yet, the chalk is from 1949. My grandmother was a teenager, younger than I am, when this was produced! Isn’t that cool?
