Wow, it has been so long since my last post! Time has gone by so fast and so slowly it seems. I finally finished the spring quarter at college a couple weeks ago and today I began the summer quarter– yes, school continues through the summer. I am happy to announce that my short break resulted in one finished project!
Let me introduce you to my latest project:
I was inspired to make this kawaii pillow by a ruined, hardly used Hello Kitty t-shirt that was sadly draped on a trash can. My sister had given up on it, as the sleeve and neckline were torn from the wash, and I secretly stole it intending to surprise her. It merely took a week from conception to completion, which is good considering I worked while she was out of the house.
Project Summary:
Time: 3 Hours and 20 Minutes
Body: Approx. 13″ x 13″
Ruffle: 3.25″ x 160″
Start: June 21, 2015
Finish: June 25, 2015
The body is a thin, pink cotton knit that I stabilized with light interfacing, and the ruffle is a rich, glossy purple cotton. I am very happy with how it turned out and I hope to continue working on my older projects.
Thanks for reading!
